Where Healing Begins

Our Approach to Helping

Our Services

As practical, interactive, solution-focused therapists, our treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. With sensitivity and compassion, we help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues.

How We Help

Blending conventional and eclectic approaches, we draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. The ultimate goal is to create a safe and anonymous environment that allows the individual to reveal their innermost thoughts and feelings, thereby, resulting in a healthier being.

About Us

Jeffrie Wagner, LMFT

Jeffrie has over 20 years of experience in Hawaii in the field of mental health, marriage counseling and addictions with adolescents and adults. Jeff is a Hawaii State Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT).

In our 30 years of marriage my wife, Helen, and I have worked through many of the same life changes and challenges that most families experience. With Helen at my side I have worked extensively with non-profit agencies, community coalitions and have developed, implemented and directed programs targeting individual and family health, couples and family counseling and addictions and substance use prevention. Helen and I facilitated a weekly meeting for families in recovery for over 5 years in windward Oahu. We hold informational family forums several times a year to give information and answer questions about a variety of mental health issues. We invite family members, counselors, treatment centers and community members to attend. Jeff is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is a member of the Hawaii Association for Marriage & Family Therapy.

Our Therapy

Why do People Seek Therapy

People come into therapy for many reasons. Some need to respond to unexpected changes in their lives, while others seek self-exploration and personal growth. When coping skills are overwhelmed by guilt, doubt, anxiety, or despair, therapy can help. Therapy can provide support, problem-solving skills, and enhanced coping for issues such as depression, anxiety, lack of confidence, relationship troubles, unresolved childhood issues, bereavement, spiritual conflicts, stress management, body image issues, and creative blocks. People seeking psychotherapy are willing to take responsibility for their actions, work towards self-change and create greater awareness in their lives.

Trauma

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

Relationships

Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
